Refurbishments

Here at Property Investments UK Limited we have many years experience in the refurbishment of properties.  We are able to meet the standards required by a wide range of clients, and have carried out hundreds of successful refurbishments for our customers.  These projects have ranged in size, from full house refurbishments to simple improvements or refurbishment of a small area.

We respect and are fully receptive to our clients needs and wishes for their property.  Therefore a full discussion will always be held with the client before any work takes place, to identify their needs.  The refurbishment process will be discussed in detail with the client, enabling the client to specify what should or should not be done to the property, prior to commencement of works.

Our services are tailored to the specific needs of our clients.  We understand that every property is different. We employ full time staff who are responsible for refurbishments.  In addition to this we also have a reliable network of specialist sub-contractors who can be called upon on an ad-hoc basis.

The following is a rough description of how we refurbished the property, a terraced house with 2 bedrooms and 2 reception rooms:

First the property was completely gutted, by removing carpets, kitchen units and appliances, built in cupboards, all internal doors and bathroom suite. All wallpaper was then removed, along with damaged plaster on walls and ceilings. Next the property was stripped of all redundant wiring and pipework. The property was then re-wired where necessary, including an electric cooker socket and extra sockets in kitchen, bedrooms and lounges. Plastering was carried out where required and all surfaces were prepared for decorating.

A new bathroom suite was fitted, all lead pipework was replaced with UPVC and copper. The property was decorated throughout. This included preparing of walls, paper, emulsion, undercoat and gloss. A new kitchen was fitted including a built in oven and hob. The property was fitted with new internal doors throughout, including all brass fittings. Finally surplus materials and waste was removed from site and new carpets were fitted throughout the property. The property is now ready for habitation.
